Restraint & Positioning Devices
In order to achieve well positioned and diagnostic radiographs, which are safe for the patient and radiographer, we rely on various restraint and positioning devices.
We strongly recommend you combine the proper training and techniques when using the devices. Find our more.

Our Sandbags are made of a grippy, water resistant suede and loosely filled with silica sand. The loose sand design provides the option of low density section within the sandbag to allow for light/no pressure area on the animal (such as the chest) to prevent movement during radiographs. The covers are designed with grip in mind - removable, washable suede type covers that stick to the table and do not slide.

Our Large 23" Sandbags are made of a grippy, water resistant material and loosely filled with silica sand. The loose sand design provides the option of low density section within the sandbag to allow for light/no pressure area on the animal (such as the chest) to prevent movement during radiographs. The loose design is also great to use to be wrap on extremities. The covers are designed with grip in mind - removable, washable suede type covers that stick to the table and do not slide.
Please note that incorrect use of this device can seriously injure a cat. Not all cats allow for scruffing and these clamps may not work for all cats. Please consult with DVM prior to use.
We recommend taking part in our workshop for proper demonstration of this device.
